PFA Advises OPIC on Financial Close to Wanachi Holdings in Kenya
On behalf of OPIC's Finance and Investment Funds group, PFA is currently acting as an independent financial and technical expert for an approved loan to Wananchi Holdings Group, an integrated business and retail media and communications provider in six East African countries with primary operations in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. PFA provided rapid, high-quality feedback to OPIC regarding the credit worthiness of the Borrower's business plan and application, as well as an assessment of the nature, scope and impact of the Borrower's ongoing operations in East Africa.

 

PFA Speaks at US-Georgian Delegation in Washington, D.C.
PFA will address a high level delegation of Georgian ministers and policy makers in mat 2013 sponsored through the Commercial Law Development Program. Created in 1992, the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) is a program of the U.S. Department of Commerce Office of the General Counsel that is uniquely tasked with providing technical assistance in the commercial law arena to the governments and private sectors of transitional countries in support of their economic development goals. CLDP assists transitional countries by providing training and consultative services to government representatives, lawmakers, regulators, judges, lawyers, educators, and other stakeholders.

 

PFA Completes Multi-Disciplinary Feasibility Study for SilkNet, Georgia

PFA performed a multi-disciplinary feasibility study on behalf of United Telecom Group (UTG), the major fixed-line telecom operator in the Republic of Georgia under a cost share arrangement with the U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA). The study assisted UTG to plan new services based on a detailed Market Assessment on telecoms demand in Georgia, the first of its kind to be undertaken by any telecoms operator.

 

PFA Advises on Successful $70 million Commitment by OPIC for Jordan

PFA provided market assessment, financial analysis, planning and forecasting assistance to a business complex to be located in Amman, Jordan part of the King Abdullah Bin Abdel Aziz City ("Aziz" City) real estate development project in Zarqa, Jordan. Implementation of the project represents part of a larger strategy to address growing populations in Amman and Zarqa, and to help stabilize Zarqa's large Palestinian population. The Palestinian population in Zarqa lives in deteriorated dwellings that lack basic amenities in an overcrowded urban environment. The Kingdom of Jordan has made it a top-priority to improve the Palestinian population's quality of life.
